Read what the subtitles leave out — in two weeks
Korean encodes the entire relationship between two people in the end of every verb, and no English subtitle can carry it. Week one teaches the alphabet through the lines you already know by sound — 진짜, 괜찮아, 미안해. Week two is the real subject: speech levels. Why the same sentence can be warm, distant or insulting; why the scene where they drop the formality is a scene; and why going back up is a break-up.
